Artist Talk mit Melissa Bilal „Home is where resistance is“

Im Rahmen der Regionalausstellung „Die Grenze“ (mehr dazu hier) findet im Goethe-Zentrum ein Treffen mit Frau Melissa Bilal statt.

Melissa Bilal ist Assistent Professorin von Humanitären und Sozialen Wissenschaften an der Amerikanischen Universität in Armenien.

„My talk will address the question of home from a feminist perspective. I will reflect on my lived experiences as an Armenian woman from Turkey who spent most of her adult life in the US before settling down in Armenia. By putting my experiences in creative dialogue with the ethnographic and archival research I have been conducting for about two decades, I will open up a discussion on belonging, displacement, dispossession, abjection, multi-locality, intersectionality, and multiple forms of resistance“.
